Greetings & salutations!
I’m an L.A. native who studied theatre and English in college. After graduation, I moved to NYC to continue being a theatre geek, but professionally. A decade later, I moved home to LA to direct for the camera.
Dark comedy that’s sneakily feminist is my jam, so one of my favorite things to do - on film, on stage, in life - is to upend preposterous cultural expectations of women.
While directing for the camera and for the stage have their differences, the skill set overlap is significant. In both arenas, I have strong and varied communication with actors, writers, producers, designers, and crew. Good storytelling is good storytelling, whatever the medium, and I enjoy the challenge of finding the funniest ways to bring a story to the screen or stage.
I get to laugh a lot, and I absolutely love what I do.
